At this stage, Bidule is not involved at all. My DAW will be in control of the playback. At that point I can open my Finale score. If I understand it, I would open my DAW and add a Finale Rewire device. Can anybody offer any guidance how one goes about accomplishing this synchronization with Bidule? I don't believe that Finale can drive the playback. I would like the DAW playback to be synchronized with Finale in case I want to add some DAW tracks that are not in the Finale score. I hope people will share tips, advice, and experience on this thread.īidule is available here, including a free trial: I expect that in this particular setting, Bidule will be mostly a "virtual patch panel", i.e. Bidule can do much more than that, but I would like to focus on the application of integrating Finale 25 with the DAW of your choice. It has been suggested that the Bidule product from Plugue can overcome most or all of the above issues, allowing Finale 25 to be tightly integrated with a DAW, including synchronized playback using ReWire. These limitations add up to a function that looks good on paper, but basically cannot do much useful in the real world. Unfortunately, it seems that when running in ReWire mode, Finale stops transmitting the MIDI data LoopBE and LoopMIDI) that provide a way for Finale to pass the separate MIDI tracks to a DAW.
